Another day at Anfield

Saturday 23rd March 2024 saw Liverpool Legends face AFC Ajax legends for a charity match in aid of The LFC Foundation. The charity is fantastic around merseyside and surrounding areas helping families and young people have life changing opportunities.

I performed 3 sets at the Brodies Sports Bar, which is the new hospitality suite at anfield, along with my good friend Ben Maitland who was at the other end of the bar. Luckily it is so big that our sound from each of our speakers didn’t clash with one another.

Also, alongside Ronnie Orr who was a fantastic compere for the day, and even took a light hearted stab at my lack of hair 😂.

Although I didn’t get to watch the game, I was able to catch a short part and take a great shot which can be seen above.

The 2-0 down early start didn’t allow the boys to feel defeated at such an early phase. Bringing the score back to 4-2 by the final whistle!

Although Stevie G didn’t get a goal (which i’m sure we all anticipated!), it was great to see legends such as Vignal, Cisse, Nabil El Zhar and Torres score for the reds.

Anyway i’ll be looking forward to returning to Anfield on Sunday to perform before Liverpool take on Brighton. I’ll see you on the upper floor on Anfield Road!
